It looks like your problem is similar, but differs from the original question. The card must be connected to computer since there is a green light at reader connection and of course the card crashes windows so it is doing something. cwr

I have the same problem - the card and the reader are serviceable but my Vista laptop and desktop say there is nothing on the card.
